The Berlin Story Museum offers visitors a multimedia tour of 800 years of city history on more than 700m2 of exhibition space and shows the entire story of Berlin in ten languages from the beginning to the present in thirty stations in walk-in themed rooms. The Berlin Story Museum in Berlin Story Bunker is the leading museum about the story of Berlin. On around 700m2, visitors embark on an exciting tour through more than 800 years of Berlin history. Each theme room is individually designed, accessible and equipped with modern multimedia technology. Thus, the story of Berlin and the everyday world of the Berlin population can be experienced by all.
The focus is on the Hitler era and the Berlin Wall era. National Socialism and Cold War, construction and fall of the wall are shown. The three leitmotifs of the museum are „love of freedom, energy and passion, everyone has their chance.“ That’s what sets Berlin apart.
The Berlin Story Bunker opened in 1996 for visitors from all over the world. The planners, designers, historians and artists have created a set of scenes that combines emotional experience with factual information. The Berlin Story Museum is funded by a non-profit organization and receives no state funding. With more than 200,000 visitors a year, the Berlin Story Bunker is one of the most important places about the story of berlin. Our program includes a target group oriented education offer. This offer, which was created especially for school classes and other visitor groups, includes guided tours and seminars on specific topics as well as the Berlin Quiz.
